Mainstay performed a preliminary review of the existing documentation and current design criteria in order to facilitate the adaptive re-use of the existing 230,000 SF office building, located at 1600 Vine Street in Philadelphia, into a secondary education building for the Philadelphia Performing Arts Charter School.

The design cut new stairs down through the entire building and provided a new “public” stair in the lobby.  The completed project houses classrooms, science labs, dance studios, music studios, offices, cafeterias, a media center and a 200 seat studio theater.
