PROJECT MANAGER - Blue Bell, PA

Mainstay Engineering Group is currently seeking a Project Manager with structural discipline experience.  The Project Manager is responsible for the execution of projects from concept to completion. He or she will organize and control project design and documentation, mentoring staff designers and engineers, ensuring effective resource sharing and financial monitoring of the project.  The Project Manager also plays an important role in developing, maintaining and deepening client relationships and promoting our brand.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors in Civil / Structural Engineering; Masters preferred.

  • 8 years minimum structural design work experience.

  • 2 years minimum years of project management experience.

  • P.E. License required; S.E. license preferred. California PE desired.

  • Computer skills required: RAM Structural System, Finite Element Design software.

  • Experience with Revit Structure and AutoCAD desired.

  • The ability to work well with others, lead and mentor a team, and manage client expectations.

  • Strong organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to problem solve.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare proposals in response to RFPs and client requests.

  • Determine project requirements, customer requirements, performance standards, complete technical studies, prepare cost estimates.

  • Develop specifications and construction contract documents.

  • Project types will be diverse:  Commercial, Residential, Industrial, Institutional and Pharmaceutical design.

  • Project scope include existing building analysis, renovation, adaptive reuse, as well as new structures and building additions.

  • Participate in design team problem solving, and mentoring engineers.

  • Control project costs and confirm project performance using key performance indicators.

  • Coordinate with clients and attend project meetings, as needed, both virtually and in person.

  • Represent the company in a positive and responsible manner.

  • Provide marketing, planning, scoping, management, and coordination of technical and financial aspects of assigned projects.

 
STRUCTURAL PROJECT ENGINEER - Blue Bell, PA

Job Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years' related design experience

  • EIT Required

  • Capable of obtaining PE Licensure in one year or less

  • California P.E. registration desired 

  • BS in Civil/Structural engineering, MS preferred

  • Strong technical and communication skills

  • Experience with RISA, RAM and TEDDS design software

  • Familiar with AutoCAD and Revit software

 

 

Job Responsibilities:

Act as Structural Design Engineer for commercial, industrial, institutional and pharmaceutical design projects. Work under direction of Project Manager or Associate in the role of a Project Lead.  Coordinate with other Discipline Leads, delegate to other Design Engineers, perform design calculations, prepare drawings, write material specifications and perform shop drawing review. Strong organizational and technical skills a must.

Job Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in Subdivision / Land Development design

  • EIT Required, PE preferred

  • AutoCAD experience required

  • Land Development Software (Civil 3D) experience preferred

Job Responsibilities:

  • Calculate storm water pre and post development flow rates and velocities for storm water management

  • Prepare site, grading, utility, soil & erosion control and isolux plans

  • Design basins and storm water conveyance systems utilizing BMP's

  • Construction administration responsibilities include site observation, contractor RFI's and shop drawing review.

  • Assist with topographic surveys and verification of existing site features

  • Local Township Zoning, Land Development and Storm water Ordinance review
