TerraPower Isotopes is establishing its flagship cGMP manufacturing facility within the Bellwether District Innovation Campus in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Bellwether District is being developed as a premier life sciences and advanced manufacturing hub, providing state-of-the-art facilities designed to support pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and research organizations throughout the full product development lifecycle.
Working alongside Orchestra Life Sciences, Mainstay Engineering Group is providing civil and structural engineering services for the fit-out of TerraPower Isotopes' new facility, supporting the conversion of the core and shell building into a specialized cGMP manufacturing environment designed for advanced isotope production.
The facility will support TerraPower Isotopes' mission to expand the global supply of actinium-225, a critical isotope used in the research and development of targeted cancer therapies. Once operational, the cGMP facility is expected to significantly increase production capacity and strengthen the supply chain for emerging nuclear medicine applications. Mainstay's work focuses on delivering practical, constructable engineering solutions that accommodate the facility's specialized process, equipment, and infrastructure requirements while supporting the long-term operational needs of this advanced life sciences manufacturing operation.
