Job Requirements

• 0-5 years building design experience

• BS in Structural Engineering and EIT certification required

• Strong technical skills and competency with relevant building codes, standards, and material specific specifications

• Strong communication and technical writing skills

• Detail oriented with a strong ability to understand and dissect the built environment

• Experience with the RAM, RISA or STAAD a plus

• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit software a plus

• Steel, Concrete, Masonry, and Timber material design experience preferred

 

Job Responsibilities

• Perform IBC code review and establish project design criteria

• Responsible for the preparation of design calculations and sketches for structural steel, concrete, timber, and masonry engineering designs for new & existing buildings using RISA design software

• Significant design work includes stainless steel super-skids, structural steel building frames, foundation systems, large vessel supports, clean room environment retrofits, platforms, monorails, hoists, etc.

• Documentation of original designs and design studies utilizing Revit Structure and AutoCAD

• Review shop drawings, answer contractor requests for information, perform construction observations and prepare reports
