OVERVIEW

Merck intended to expand the east parking lot at their Upper Gwynedd site by adding an additional 150 new parking spaces. The parking lot was to be expanded to the west towards the existing building.  Initially a sidewalk was constructed to connect the existing parking lot with the building entrance along the north side of the proposed parking lot.  After construction of the sidewalk, the new parking lot was constructed.  Total disturbance was approximately 2 acres, therefore NPDES Permitting from PA DEP was required. In addition, a raingarden for stormwater management was added.
