OVERVIEW
GSK is considering constructing a new building to house their Waste Management Program at their facility in Upper Providence, PA. The proposed building is a 14,000 SF, 3-story steel framed structure. The first floor will house material handling and warehouse; the second floor will contain the freezer farm and Cryo storage; and the third floor will be a mechanical and electrical room. The building will be situated between the existing building #2 and #3 on the campus and will involve partial demolition and reconstruction of the existing link corridor.
Mainstay provided structural engineering consultation services to IPS including collecting and reviewing existing documentation, established site specific structural design criteria in accordance with the latest version of the IBC, reviewed vendor’s equipment information, and provided detailed design documentation for the building renovations and addition.
