OVERVIEW

One of Arcadia’s larger student housing complexes experienced significant parking shortages.  Mainstay responded with civil and structural design to provide timely approvals and a flexible, phased construction schedule.  This will ultimately allow Arcadia to use portions of the parking area at the start of the 2009 school year, with the balance of construction to be done during the summer of 2010.  Mainstay’s user-oriented design and permitting allows Arcadia optimal use of the facility with minimal impact on the students and surrounding residents.

Mainstay provided civil / site design and structural design of the new 25,000 SF reinforced concrete parking structure and associated parking areas.  Civil design encompassed using best management practices, addressing storm water runoff quantity and quality issues.
